Never be intimidated by knitting charts again! Not only do they provide
shorthand knitting instructions, but they also give you a picture of what
your project should look like, which makes spotting errors easier. We'll
explore the ins and outs of charts and the symbols they use, and you'll
practice your new chart-reading skills by charting simple line-by-line
instructions and knitting small swatches from charts.
Intermediate Socks $40

Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Learn more sock-knitting skills while making these lacy toe-up socks.
You'll learn to do Judy's magic cast on, a simple lace pattern, short-row
heels, and Jeni's Surprisingly Stretchy Bindoff.
Beyond the Basics $20
Sunday: Oct 21; 3 - 5PM
Difficulty Level: Beginner
You've learned how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off, but now you have
lots of questions. How do I read a pattern? What is gauge? How do I know
what yarns I can substitute in a pattern? What's with all these different
types of needles? Come meet other new knitters and let's answer these and
other burning questions!
Snuggly Baby Blanket $40

Difficulty Level: Easy
Just in time for the holidays, knit this adorable baby blanket! The lace
looks impressive but is actually a simple pattern, and with worsted weight
yarn, it won't take forever to finish. Learn to knit the increases,
decreases, and yarnovers of lace, and to pick up stitches for a border.
Pattern adjustments to make a smaller "lovie" size or car
seat/stroller blanket size will be provided.
Christmas Stockings $40

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Knit these festive holiday stockings, and use up some of your wool scraps
at the same time. The pattern includes several choices of motifs for the
cuff, leg and above the toe, and with 4-10 colors of your choice, every
stocking can be different. You will learn how to knit with two colors using
both hands, knit paired decreases, work an afterthought heel, and use
kitchener stitch to close the toe and heel.

class, longer will you fear the steek! In this three-part workshop, we'll
knit a coffee cozy in the round, using Fair Isle technique. And then we
shall reinforce and cut!

Learn to make this perennial classic over three evenings as well as bump up
your skill sets. Have fun picking colors, learning to read charts, and to

In this morning workshop, we'll explore the magic that is Fair Isle. Learn
to knit this quick and spiffy hat while discovering the joy of stranded
knitting. Most important, you'll leave class knowing how to knit with both

Crochet for Knitters! $25

This class is designed for those wanting to kick up knitting skills with a
little crochet knowledge. Learn to hold the hook, the slip stitch, single
crochet, and double crochet. Leave the class confident in your skills as a
hooker!

the hands of everyone you love this winter! This basic class will cover
knitting in the round on double point needles. The class will be a fun
challenge for beginning knitters, but you'll find soon enough how addicting
mittens can be.

Socks

Dec 1, 8, 15; 1 - 3PM
Difficulty Level: Beginner
You will learn basic sock construction using worsted weight yarn so you can
get them done and on your feet. This class will familiarize you with the
basics of sock construction. The first week we will start the leg. The
second class we will do the heel flap, turn the heel, and pick up the
gusset stitches. The third class we will knit the toe and graft it closed
with Kitchener stitch.
