Knitting should be FUN!

My son's Dead Fish Hat was a hoot to knit and scored big points in the "FUN" category. Perhaps because of the fact that my son is 15 and he actually wanted me to knit him something? I modified the pattern a bit by using the short row shaping found in the Lizard Ridge Afghan pattern by Knitty, only done in the round, to create the wave pattern. The bumps they create, if you don't block them flat, actually look like fish scales. (Contact me if you want more details on my modification). Danny was a hit on the slopes in Colorado. The operators would yell "Hey Fish Head" as he went by. Good Times, lots of smiles...what more could you ask from a knitting project?
